I really appreciated my CSA education; it was so much information that every Senior needs to know and yet much of it is not obvious. And guess what happened to ME in March?
WOOT WOOT! Birthday Girl turns 65 and celebrates all the great bennies! Where do I start? The most obvious is the SENIOR DISCOUNTS; better prices on admission to movies, museums, some restaurants, and lots of travel perks (Amtrak offers 10% off for example).
And of course, Medicare — that’s actually the most EXCITING great benefit. I’m self-employed, so having medical coverage is amazing.
Medicare (my plan at least) includes a Gym membership for FREE — so I’m now a gleeful member of the Shoreline Athletic Club.

And I can’t tell you how many times these past few years I’ve joked about needing a fake ID because so many of my favorite people play on the 65+ tennis teams and I have just been crashing their end of season celebrations and counting the days until I could join the team. As of this year, I’m eligible (and delighted to be on the roster) of TWO senior teams!
My parents celebrated with us as we enjoyed dinner on my birthday at the delightful and delicious Gradys Pub, around the corner from their assisted living home.
